Shared Office

The Shared Office is a support structure for State Deputies and Local Councilors.

Currently, our Network has 21 Local Councilors and 11 State Deputies from all regions of the country.

At the Shared Office, we offer tools to boost the work of the mandates, support the technical qualification of its team and strengthen the career of female legislators in politics.

Technical Assistance

The Technical Assistance is an individual and personalized consultancy service for each mandate. Every month, legislators have the opportunity to bring us a question on any public policy topic that is relevant to them at that time. We then call in a specialist with great knowledge in the area and make a connection between them. In general, the consultancies are in areas such as the public budget, executive oversight, provision of education and health services, among others.

Maré de PLs (Wave of Bills)

The Maré de PLs (Wave of Bills) is a project designed to encourage local councilors and state deputies to propose bills based on evidence that can generate real impact by transforming local realities. In each edition, together with our network, we choose a public policy topic of general interest to the elected representatives and provide a bill proposal. This document is based on scientific research, previously approved legislation in other municipalities and states and is reviewed by experts in the field.

Budget Hotline

We created a communication channel so that legislators can get in touch with specific questions about the public budget, one of the most challenging topics for local councilors and state deputies. Through a WhatsApp group, we centralize questions that are then passed on to our experts on the subject and answered to legislators.

Mandate Monitoring

The Mandate Monitoring strategy seeks to generate subsidies and evidence for the mandate's team to improve their performance. It is structured on the following axes: Legislative Production, Public Positioning, Relationship with the Executive, Relationship with Civil Society, Political Violence of Gender and Race.

Courses and Workshops

The courses and workshops are designed according to the collective demand of the legislators. The chosen topics are always based on current issues that are of common interest to the mandates we support, such as Parliamentary Commissions, Public Budget, Social Technologies for Mandates and Team Management, all with a gender and race perspective. With the “Shared Office in Agenda”, we create a space for the debate and the exchange of experiences between mandates.
